Having a browser set as the default browser has some downsides:
- an attacker could force the user to open a link
- it’s difficult to have multiple browsers (for example, a Firefox going through a VPN and Tor Browser)
In this howto, we will create a dummy browser that will just copy the content of the link into the clipboard. Then it’s ready to be pasted into any browser or other software.
Requirements
- We will work on GNOME, and make use of .Desktop files, so we have to be sure our Desktop Environment supports .Desktop files.
